"Expressive and lush nose of creamy berries, dark cherries, vanilla, cassis and sweet oak spices. Full body with fine, creamy tannins. Rich and full of generous creamy berries and an equally demonstrative and dense finish with excellent length."
Winemaker Notes
This wine presents a deep, impenetrable garnet hue with a nose that unfolds with a symphony of dark succulent blackberries and ripe blackcurrants. Subtle hints of cassis lend an additional layer of complexity, while a graceful veil of dark cocoa delicately intertwines with the fruit, adding richness and allure. The tannins are beautifully integrated without overpowering the wine's inherent elegance. The mouthfeel is velvety and supple, carrying the concentrated flavors through a finish that lingers long after each sip.
Harvested from premium vineyards throughout the winegrowing regions of California, the forward fruit and spicy flavors of this wine will bring out the best in rich meat dishes such as beef stew or roasted lamb with rosemary. It would also be an excellent accompaniment to hamburgers and sausages fresh off the grill.
